One West Kelowna residents association is taking to the streets this Halloween

Kids in the Glenrosa neighbourhood of West Kelowna can get extra treats thanks to an unusual Halloween Treat Truck – and they can track it online.

It will be driven by Glenrosa Residents Association president Graham O’Leary with members handing out candy, glow sticks and hot chocolate to the kids, along with swag from the association for adults.

It will be accompanied by “sick beats,” so dancing is encouraged.

“This is a first (Halloween event) for us,” O’Leary told iNFOnews.ca. “A couple of people thought we should do something and came up with this idea. It’s kind of a unique idea so we thought we would give it a try.”

The plan is to stop at the schools in the area and the store and Escape Reality on Gorman Road.

Kids can flag the truck down or Like the Glenrosa Residents Association on Facebook or Instagram to track where they’re headed. There will be updates posted every 15 to 20 minutes.

Plans are to hit the streets around 5 p.m. and keep going until either the treats or the kids run out, probably around 8 p.m., O’Leary guessed.
