Keeping warm in the winter and cool in the summer we trust our mechanical systems will work on demand with the touch of a button; but what we may not realize is the skill, commitment, training and pride that goes into making all systems go.
Since 1998, GT Air Mechanical Services with its head office in Kelowna, has grown and evolved to provide exceptional, one-stop service when it comes to all things mechanical in commercial buildings, custom homes or institutional work from Penticton to Vernon and all areas in between.
“We are quality driven and we make Buildings work because we take pride in doing things right the first time,” said Greg Fougere, president and owner of GT Air Mechanical Services. There is no need to deal with different companies for different trades and or jobs, as everything can be executed by GT Air with their experienced staff.
“Our focus is turning each project into a customer for life. We work with clients to understand their specific challenges in order to supply the right technology, services and solutions.”
Fougere and his team of 25 staff including technicians, office staff, in house accounting, field managers, estimators and a dedicated dispatcher with Mhelp mobile technology to move techs around at ease, tracks everything and helps with efficiencies. They can provide same day billing and always strive to improve with technologies to pass the savings to their valued customers. GT Air has become highly regarded as technical solution and service providers with products and services to meet the high demands of their customers. Twenty-four-hour, seven day a week service is our GOAL. “
“We have become one of the larger service providers in the Okanagan valley,” said Fougere, who has spent over 26 years in the commercial HVAC/Refrigeration/Automaton world in various capacities in some of the largest full-service organizations in Canada. “We’re not a mom and pop shop, but we’re not a national service provider either. We work in Kelowna, we live in Kelowna and we support the community and the local BC economy.”
There are a number of factors that place GT mechanical Services out front in their field; where competition is numerous in the Okanagan. The pride of workmanship comes from having technicians on hand that have been doing this work for much of their lives. “Half of my trade guys have been in the business for over 25 years. We can send a trained technical guy out to a job who knows what they’re looking at; who can fix the problem,” said Fougere.
Workplace safety is not just a word at GT Air Mechanical services. They are committed to making sure everyone works in a safe environment, and follows legislative requirements. At the end of the day, getting home safely is the company’s main objective. The team provides and maintains a safe and healthy working environment with a comprehensive health and safety program that meets Workers Compensation Board and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
Whether it’s commercial or residential HVAC, refrigeration services, Boiler and pumps, custom sheet metal, gas fitting, plumbing, retro fitting, heat pump repairs, furnaces and air conditioning repair and service, Honeywell controls install and service, emergency service and even fireplaces, GT Air will complete the task, often in the same day, which they pride themselves on. “Our dedicated dispatcher takes calls and moves the staff around all day long,” said Fougere.
Apprentices and journeymen are encouraged to become a part of the team as Fougere is always looking to expand and take on people who want to get to the next point in their career.
