One man was caught after triggering a Kamloops business's security system Wednesday morning.
Police responded around 6:30 a.m., Aug. 31, to the unidentified Sahali business, where suspects triggered a motion alarm on its roof, according to a Kamloops RCMP news release.
Security cameras captured two men inside, appearing to grab both merchandise and cash from the business on the 1200-block of Summit Drive.
“Frontline officers quickly arrived on scene and located a suspect on the east side of the building,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.
Kamloops man Justin James Brown Henderson, 28, is charged with break and enter, theft and mischief. He's expected to appear in court today, Sept. 1.
“He was arrested and taken into custody. The building was cleared with the assistance of the Police Dog Service Unit, but no other suspects were located. The investigation is ongoing," Evelyn said.
Anyone who witnessed the alleged break-in or has video footage is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
