One man is in hospital with stab wounds after three men started fighting on a Kamloops bus.

Kamloops RCMP are looking for witnesses and video footage of the fight, which happened on Friday night, around 8:20 p.m., according to a news release.

Police responded on May 20 to 4 Avenue and Seymour Street.

The fight, according to RCMP, began on the bus with three men in a "confrontation," then they began fighting. The men left the bus as they continued fighting and one man produced a weapon police did not describe.

The victim had non-life-threatening injuries, "consistent with stab wounds," according to the release.

“As police move forward with the investigation, we are asking for anyone who witnessed or captured the altercation on a cellphone video to please contact police,” Const. Crystal Evelyn of Kamloops RCMP said.
