KELOWNA - Beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 12, Richter Street will be closed between Vaughn and Coronation avenues while traffic signals are changed in front of the new Kelowna Police Services building.
Clement Avenue will remain open throughout the day, but motorists can expect delays.
Detour routes will be posted and motorists are asked to obey onsite traffic personnel.
The frontage improvements will include a sidewalk on the north side and a new curb and gutter. This work will also accommodate the future four-laning of Clement Avenue.
The $48-million Kelowna Police Services building project began construction in 2015 and will provide a new 100,000 sq. ft. centralized facility to accommodate enhanced operations and meet future expansion needs as the City continues to grow.
The City of Kelowna and construction workers appreciate the patience of residents, businesses and motorists during the construction season.
