PENTICTON - Peachland’s loss may be Penticton’s gain when it comes to fall festivities.
Peachland’s Oktoberfest celebrations will not take place this year due to sluggish ticket sales, but for those in the valley wishing to celebrate the fall event there’s no need to cry in your beer — Penticton’s fifth annual Oktoberfest is back by popular demand and set to take place on Oct. 24.
The Penticton Trade and Convention Centre turns into a Munich beer hall as the celebration returns to the Peach City.
Organizers hope to attract 650 visitors this year, 50 more than last year, Penticton Oktoberfest Marketing Chair Ralf Aggarwal says.
Tickets are $35 each, and come with a free wine or beer. Tickets can be purchased at the Valley First Box Office at the South Okanagan Events Centre, or online at ValleyFirstTix.com.
Oktoberfest is an age restricted event.
