KELOWNA - Interested in business networking in Kelowna? The second annual Okanagan Young Professionals office crawl is headed downtown July 19.

The crawl begins at Valley First Bank in downtown Kelowna at 3:30 p.m. and includes Grant Thornton and Pushor Mitchell. Young professionals will have the opportunity to enjoy an hour at each business, sipping, snacking and socializing with like-minded individuals from the business community.

Tickets are $20 and include a 15 per cent discount at Tonics Pub, where the crawl will end. Proceeds from this years’ Office Crawl will go towards Cops for Kids, a charity dedicated to children who have suffered a medical, physical or traumatic crisis in their lives.

"The event has two main goals,” said Tory Braun, Community Cultivator with the OYP. “One is to bring young professionals together to network in a non-traditional format ...The second is to showcase our partners.”

OYP’s partners — Pushor Mitchell, Grant Thornton and Valley First — help the organization run their various programs throughout the year. These community-minded businesses make OYP possible.

“[Office Crawl] gives young professionals an opportunity to see the offices and meet the employees of these well established Okanagan businesses,” said Braun.
