KELOWNA - A well known retail construction supply chain is closing its doors in the Okanagan after 65 years in business.

Family owned OK Builders Supplies Ltd. announced in a press release issued today, Jan. 15, their intention to close their builders centres in Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton.

The retail outlets will continue to be open while operations wind down through to March 1 of this year, the company says.

The firm’s ready mix operations were recently sold to Lehigh Hanson Materials Ltd. with the transition to new ownership nearly complete.

All ready mix locations from Penticton to Kamloops will continue to supply concrete and concrete accessories to contractors and homebuilders under the new name of OK Ready Mix, a division of Lehigh Hanson Materials Ltd.
