A baby deer looked happy to be in a cop car after being seized from the backseat of another vehicle in Northern B.C.
The fawn was discovered when officers with the Fort St. John RCMP were conducting a traffic stop during the early hours of June 30, according to an RCMP press release. It was estimated to be one month old.
The human occupants of the vehicle were arrested for possession of live wildlife, and then their drugs were seized. One investigation is ongoing for the drugs and another investigation is being conducted by the Conservation Officer Service.
“The fawn enjoyed some time with RCMP members before being handed over to Conservation (Officer Services),” the release says.

It will spend some time at the Rimrock Wildlife Rehab until it is ready to be reintegrated to the wild.
