RCMP

LUMBY - Police in the North Okanagan are looking for tips after firearms were stolen from a Lumby home more than two months ago.

On Dec. 1, 2016, a house on Rawlings Lake Road in Lumby was broken into sometime between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., according to a news release issued today, Feb. 10 by the RCMP.

The suspects, who made off with several rifles and other items, were seen leaving the house as the homeowner arrived.

The suspects were driving a blue, four-door car with a roof rack. The driver was a younger, clean shaven man with short, dark hair, wearing sunglasses and a dark coloured sweatshirt or hoodie. There was also a passenger in the vehicle, however a description was not provided in the release.

One of the stolen rifles had a pink camouflage coloured stock.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Lumby RCMP Detachment at 250-547-2151, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
