RCMP in Kamloops are investigating a report of shots fired last night on the city's North Shore.

At around 8:30 p.m. yesterday, July 12, officers were called to an area of MacKenzie Avenue and Williams Street, according to an RCMP media release.

RCMP say no one was injured, although a window in one home was broken. The residence was not known to police prior to the incident, and investigators don’t believe it was targeted.

Witnesses saw a black SUV leaving the area after the shots rang out.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting, or has information about it, is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
