KAMLOOPS - It looks like it will be a white Christmas in Kamloops.
Environment Canada isn't forecasting snowfall on Christmas Day, however, it looks like there will be snow on the ground because temperatures aren’t expected to climb above -4 C between now and then.
The forecast calls for a mainly cloudy day today, Dec. 21, with periods of snow beginning around noon and a high of -4 Celsius. About two centimetres is expected today. The periods of snow will end this evening with mainly cloudy skies overnight, the wind becoming west at 20 km/h this evening and a low of -7 C.
Plan for a mainly cloudy day tomorrow with the wind west at 20 km/h and the temperature steady near -6 C. Overnight, expect cloudy periods and a low of -14 C.
Saturday should be sunny but cold with temperatures well below freezing; a daytime high of -8 C and an overnight low of -13 C.
Forecasters expect Sunday to be cloudy with 40 per cent chance of flurries and the temperature steady at -10 both day and night.
Environment Canada is calling for a mix of sun and cloud on Christmas Day with a high of -8 C, and cloudy periods with a low of -12 C overnight.
Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of -1 C and lows of -7 C.
