The doors of the former Value Village on Seymour Street are opening once again, this time as a health food store.
The western Canadian company, called Nutters Everyday Naturals, has been in operation in the health food retailing industry since 1982.
Kamloops residents Sarah and Dan Sims secured the franchise rights for Kamloops along with the sizable downtown location in the 400 block, according to a media release by the company president Paul Clewes.
“We think customers will enjoy the colourful and spacious urban design elements of our store,” Sarah said in the release. “We are eager to bring a new healthy shopping experience to downtown Kamloops.”
Sarah said the store will carry a vast selection of natural and organic groceries and personal care products plus an extensive selection of quality vitamins and supplements. There will be keto-friendly and gluten-free options, vegan alternatives, fresh local and organic produce, and a few other surprises the couple are saving for the official opening.
“Fixturing of the store is now underway,” Dan said. “We are aiming to open by mid-late spring.”
Once open on Seymour, Nutters Everyday Naturals expects to employ up to 20 people who share a passion for healthy living.
