New parkade finally opening at Penticton Regional Hospital

Some changes are coming to Penticton Regional Hospital's parking policies when the new parkade opens to public use on April 28, 2019.

PENTICTON - A new parking payment system at Penticton Regional Hospital will go into effect when the new patient tower and adjoining parkade opens this Sunday.

There will be no change to rates at the hospital but the payment system will transition to a pay-by-plate method rather than by stall number or displayed receipts when it opens April 28 at 2 p.m.

The new payment system requires motorists to enter their license plate number at any of the pay stations available, no matter where their vehicle is parked.

Drivers with mobile devices can use the parking app HangTag to make payment on their phones.

Existing surface parking lots will also transition to the pay-by-plate system.

The hospital will be accessible from the parkade during regular business hours through levels one and two, but after hours all access to the building will be through the first floor entrance vestibule.
