PENTICTON - The Penticton and Wine Country Chamber of Commerce has a new executive director.
Brandy Maslowski was selected by the chamber board earlier this week to head the organization as it seeks to build a thriving business community in Penticton.
Maslowski has been with the chamber since May working as the events planner and coordinator. Prior to that, Maslowski spent 15 years on the Winnipeg Fire Department, where she served as public education officer. She says her skills “nicely transferred over” to the work she’s been doing on the chamber.
“It’s been exciting here. This is a great place to be - the chamber is vibrant and growing,” she says, adding the five months she has spent with the organization has helped her find out what the chamber is all about.
Moving forward, Malowski says she is “really excited” about her new position of overseeing the chamber, providing business education and other services for members and helping to create a vibrant business culture in the city.
