NBA star Kelly Olynyk featured in video by staff at Kamloops high school

The administration and teachers at a Kamloops high school have made a fun, upbeat video featuring a COVID-19 message from NBA star Kelly Olynyk.

Olynyk, who attended South Kamloops Senior Secondary School, opens the video posted to Facebook with a message for his fellow SKSS Titans: "Wanted to remind you to stay home, stay safe but make sure you’re staying active and staying connected. We in this together SKSS, Titan Nation let’s get it."

The video then cuts to principal Walt Kirschner who tells students that the staff is thinking of them during these difficult times.

"We’re a call away, or an emails away, or you can just Zoom away. Take care be safe, and we hope to see you all soon."

The rest of the video is a montage of teachers and students dancing and lip-syncing to the "Friends" theme song "I'll be There for You."

They've recreated some popular opening scenes from the "Friends" intro sequence — with a quarantine twist.
