Parks Canada is urging campers to be ready for this year’s reservation service as they prepare for an April launch.
Reservations between May, 2021 and March, 2022 will open for B.C.-based national parks in April instead of January this year.
The move was made to provide more time for campers to consider the latest COVID-19 restrictions, Parks Canada said, and also to reduce the need for cancellations due to pandemic measures.
Reservation launch dates are staggered through April for national parks in the province
Reservations can be made online or by phone at 1-877-737-3783. This year’s launch dates can be viewed at this Parks Canada web page.
Parks Canada says campers should plan ahead this year as many services may remain closed due to COVID-19. Visitors are advised to be as self-sufficient as possible and pack extra hygiene supplies such as hand sanitizer.
