TORONTO - Canadian singer-songwriter Leslie Feist is hitting the road with what's described as an intimate and "unconventional production" featuring all-new music.

Co-producer TO Live says the Calgary-raised artist will debut the "Multitudes" show as a weeklong residency at this year’s Kampnagel Festival in Hamburg, Germany, which runs Aug. 4-22.

She'll then bring the show to Ottawa's National Arts Centre followed by TO Live’s Meridian Hall in Toronto in the fall.

TO Live says "Multitudes" will be a limited-capacity show in which Feist will be surrounded by the audience.

The group says the logistics are different in each venue, but at Meridian Hall, the audience will be onstage with Feist.

Musicians Todd Dahlhoff and Amir Yaghmai will play with Feist in the show, which will include immersive audio and audience participation.

Feist developed the production with renowned designer Rob Sinclair, with the goal of bringing "people together as they re-emerge from lockdown while providing an outlet for connection between artist, art, and community," says a statement.

The show is also a co-production of International Summer Festival Kampnagel, in association with the NAC's National Creation Fund.

Feist is an 11-time Juno Award winner and founding member of indie rock collective Broken Social Scene.

She was recently seen performing with the Tragically Hip at the virtual edition of the Juno Awards.
