A popular Penticton nightclub wants to keep its doors open for longer to allow more usage of the building.
Mule Nightclub manager Steve Parker wants the site open from 12 p.m. to 3 a.m. Monday to Sunday. Right now the club is open from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Penticton's leadership will discuss this at tonight's council meeting. A public consultation will be arranged if the application is not denied.
In the past clubs like Parker's applied for temporary changes to their hours. Businesses could make 16 such alterations per year. The Liquor Control and Licensing Branch cut it to six days a year. Parker said the LCLB recommended he permanently change the Mule's hours.
