Two motorcyclists crashed on Shuswap Road east of Kamloops this weekend and one died as a result of her injuries.
Paramedics sent three ambulances and a helicopter to the scene around 5:18 p.m. Sunday, May 6. Two people were taken to hospital, according to BC Emergency Health Services.
Kamloops RCMP said one of the motorcyclists died despite help from civilians who gave her first aid at the scene.
The collision on Shuswap Road near Miner Road is roughly 10 kilometres east of Sun Rivers.
Police said the second motorcyclist had minor injuries.
BC Coroners Service is conducting its own investigation into the collision, but police said there's no criminality suspected.
