KAMLOOPS - A 63-year-old Kamloops man has died after a motorcycle crash yesterday afternoon.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says police were called to a crash yesterday, May 16, at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Highway 5A just south of Campbell Creek Road.

Witnesses say the driver of a northbound motorcycle lost control, crossed the centre line and hit an oncoming car. The Kamloops man succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital, Shelkie says.

The Princeton-Kamloops Highway was closed until around 10 p.m. last night.

Police and the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating.
