ENDERBY - A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Enderby this afternoon.
According to the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP, the motorcyclist and a small blue car collided behind Sutherlands Bakery on Evergreen Street, where it merges onto Highway 97. The incident happened at around 1 p.m. today, Aug 1.
"The motorcycle driver received extensive injuries as a result of the collision and was airlifted to the nearest medical facility by the BC Ambulance Service," Vernon RCMP media liaison officer Const. Kelly Brett said in the release. "The driver of the small blue vehicle sustained no apparent injuries, however, was transported to the nearest hospital as a precaution given the impact."
With the long weekend approaching the RCMP are reminding motorists to allow time for their journeys and to obey all road signs.
