PENTICTON - Emergency crews were called to another motorcycle accident in the South Okanagan today, July 13.
Members of the Okanagan Falls Volunteer Fire Department, the RCMP and B.C. Ambulance service responded to a motorcycle accident near the intersection of Old Kaleden Road and Highway 97 at approximately 3:45 this afternoon.
According to a bystander on scene, a female motorcyclist was northbound just north of the intersection of Old Kaleden Road on Highway 97 when she lost control of the motorcycle.
The woman was treated on scene and transported by B.C. Ambulance with undisclosed injuries. The motorcycle did not appear to be extensively damaged.
Traffic was able to continue past the accident during the incident in both directions.
Police have expressed concerns about the rising number of motorcycle accidents in the area over the past few years.
A motorcycle accident near Okanagan Falls sent one person to hospital this afternoon.
