Surrey RCMP say a woman suspected of abducting her kids was seen in Kamloops on Saturday.

Verity Bolton, 45, was shopping in Kamloops on July 15, but based on surveillance footage the children weren't in the store.

Surrey RCMP issued an Amber Alert yesterday for Joshuah, 10, and Aurora Bolton, 8. They were expected to be home in Surrey by July 17 after a trip to Kelowna, but their father was unable to contact them.

Bolton was seen grocery shopping on surveillance footage in Kamloops, driving away in a dark blue 2012 Dodge Ram 2500. The truck has license plate number SJ2708 and was seen towing a white horse trailer. She was wearing all black at the time, with a black baseball cap and black sunglasses.

“Anyone who knows the current whereabouts of Verity, Aurora or Joshuah is asked to immediately call 911," Surrey RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Vanessa Munn said in a news release.

Police issued the amber alert on July 18, which is often used when children are abducted and suspected to be in imminent danger.

Surrey RCMP's Serious Crime Unit is leading the investigation, but it is working with the Kamloops detachment in the search.

“Our investigators are following up on all tips received and continue to pursue all possible investigative avenues to bring Aurora and Joshuah home safely,” Cpl. Munn said.

Joshuah and Aurora Bolton were reported missing on July 18, 2023.
