April appears poised to end on a warm and mostly dry note in Kamloops and the Okanagan.

A mix of sun and cloud and seasonal temperatures in Kamloops today, April 27, is expected to give way to some clouds and a 40 per cent chance of showers in Kamloops tonight.

Cloudy conditions are expected through midweek before a return to a mix of sun and cloud on Friday and the weekend.

Temperatures are expected to be fairly warm as well, with a high reaching 24 Celsius in Kamloops on Thursday, and highs in the low 20s through the weekend.

Kamloops normally sees a high and low of 19 C and 5 C in late April.

Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton are expected to see mainly sunny conditions today, and a mix of sun and cloud tomorrow, along with seasonal temperatures in the high teens.

The Okanagan could see a 60 per cent chance of showers overnight Wednesday, followed by clouds on Thursday.

It’s expected to be warm, however, with a high of 24 C on Thursday and 20 C on Friday.

Okanagan temperatures are expected to dip on Saturday, May 1, to highs of 16 C before rebounding to 20 C on Sunday, under a mix of sun and clouds.

Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton’s normal high and low for late April is 17 C and 4 C.
