A Vernon man known for donating his time and money to charity is now being supported by the community.
Mike Rosenau has donated his time to an assortment of non-profits, charities and truck shows, according to his GoFundMe page, started by Scott Casey, from Merritt.
His biggest undertaking was supplying and driving his "Support The Troops Truck" and trailer across Canada as the support vehicle for The Rolling Barrage, an organization that generates awareness, raises funds and enables therapeutic support for individuals and their families who are suffering from the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
"He donated more than 30 days to the cause and took an unpaid leave of absence from work to be in that role. He won the hearts of hundreds of veterans, first responders and their families for his dedication to the cause," according to the GoFundMe.

Rosenau ended up having engine troubles and wasn't in a position to make the necessary repairs. So he parked the truck.
Not only did the engine need a complete rebuild, he was also diagnosed with bone marrow cancer, according to the GoFundMe.
The community is now fundraising to share the burden amongst donors and take those repair costs off of his plate during his cancer treatments, Casey wrote.
With financial assistance from Cummins Diesel in Kamloops and the rebuild team from Tridem Services in Kelowna, a good portion of the costs is already covered.
The fundraiser was created four days ago and has already raised more than $14,000 out of its $20,000 goal. The link can be found online.
