The Lytton Creek wildfire is currently 54,395 hectares in size and burning out of control, according to the B.C. Wildfire Service.

Because of the potential danger to life and safety, the regional district has issued an evacuation order for 102 properties including:

The district also issued an order tonight for six properties from 2380 to 2492 Torgerson Road.

If you are in the described area, you must leave immediately, according to the regional district.

Evacuees are asked to register with Emergency Support Services whether support is needed or not to ensure loved ones and communities know where they are.

Emergency Support Services will only be provided if an evacuee's primary residence is one of the properties under evacuation order.

"If your primary residence has been evacuated the regional district recommends you arrange to stay with friends or family. If you cannot stay with friends or family, please report to McArthur Island Sports Centre located at 1655 Island Parkway in Kamloops," according to the regional district.
