More flights in and out of Kelowna are cancelled today, Dec. 24.

It’s been a reoccurring issue at the Kelowna International Airport during the week leading up to Christmas.

Arrivals cancelled on Christmas Eve include Westjet flights 3316 from Vancouver, 3260 from Victoria and 3320 from Vancouver.

For departures, Westjet flights 3309, 3321 and 3325 to Vancouver, and 3119 to Victoria are not happening.

Air Canada flight 193, which was coming from and returning to Toronto, was also cancelled.

The situation is not nearly as bad as yesterday – by 8 a.m. Dec. 23 there were 26 cancellations.

"YLW has remains fully open and operational," reads an update from yesterday. "Thanks to all of the crews who have been working 24/7 to keep the runway clear and to ensure safe operating conditions at YLW."
