JERUSALEM - Police in Israel say a small explosion has struck on a bus in central Israel.
Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld says no one was hurt in Sunday's blast. He says it's unclear whether the bomb was planted by Palestinian militants or whether it was a criminal attack.
Rosenfeld says the bomb was in a bag placed on the bus. He says the bus was evacuated after the suspicious object was detected, and the bomb exploded when police were examining the contents.
The incident occurred in the Tel Aviv suburb of Bat Yam, a town that has experienced criminal infighting in the past.
