Mixed bag of weather for Kamloops this week

KAMLOOPS - Kamloops is in for a typical week of fall weather with temperatures running at monthly normals along with a mix of clouds, sun and possibly showers or even some snow.

Environment Canada meteorologist Bobby Sekhon says a couple of minor disturbances will roll through the city this week, bringing some rain tomorrow and Thursday. The Coquihalla Highway could see up to seven centimetres of snow overnight, Nov. 13, and into tomorrow.

Kamloops can expect mainly cloudy skies with winds from the east at 30 km/h today and tonight with a high of 6 Celsius and a low of -1 C.

Tomorrow will see a mix of sun and cloud with a 40 per cent chance of showers starting late in the morning. The snow level will start at around 700 metres, rising to 1,500 metres in the afternoon, with a high of 6 C and a low of 1 C.

Rain is expected through the day Thursday and into the evening with a high of 7 C and a low of -2 C. The forecast is calling for up to 10 millimetres of rain.

Skies will clear on Friday with an expected high of 5 C and an overnight low of -4 C.

Normal temperatures at this time of year are highs of 5 C and lows of -2 C.
