KELOWNA – A 17-year-old girl from Kelowna who police say went missing April 14 may in fact be in Alberta.
RCMP issued a media release Tuesday, May 5, asking for the public’s help locating Raven Graham, but according to a post she made on her Facebook page Thursday, May 7, she is in Calgary.
Note: The following post on Graham's Facebook page has been edited for spelling, grammar and clarity.
“To all social media websites (to all Facebook users), please go about your business and please disregard this whole thing about me being missing because this is currently being dealt with appropriately and will be forgotten. I ask for all the statuses to immediately be deleted… because this is affecting me with a great deal of stress. I am perfectly okay. I hate the fact that I'm out there on the web… and people like to spread things so quickly. I feel naked because people know about my personal life and issues… this is a family matter. Please and thank you. I'm tired of having the stress this has brought upon me with no regards to me actually ever being missing."
RCMP have said Graham is known to live a high-risk, transient lifestyle with a history of going missing but is believed to still be in Kelowna.
“She appears to have made occasional posts on social media but investigators need to speak with her directly to confirm her well-being,” Cpl. Joe Duncan said in a media release.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Raven Graham is urged to contact their local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
