Sicamous RCMP were notified of a possible drowning at approximately 4 p.m. yesterday and responded with the detachment vessel, along with a Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue unit based in Sicamous and private boats, however, the missing man was not found and is presumed drowned.

"We have requested assistance from the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team who will attend and attempt to locate and recover the victim," RCMP Sgt. Murray McNeil said in the release. "Our thoughts remain with his family."
