Mild weekend in store for Kamloops

With temperatures expected to remain mostly above freezing for the rest of the week, Kamloops can expect more rain than snow.

Environment Canada says to expect periods of rain followed by a mix of sun and cloud today, Jan. 23. The snow level should rise to 600 metres with an east wind at 20 km/h gusting to 40 and a high of 8 Celsius. It should be partly cloudy tonight, again with east wind at 20 km/h gusting to 40 and a low of 4 C.

Friday is expected to be a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 6 C and a low to -1 C under clear overnight skies.

Periods of snow are in the forecast for Saturday with a high of 4 C, followed by periods of rain overnight with a low of 1 C.

More showers are in store for Sunday with a high of 6 C and a low of -2 C.

Monday should see a mix of sun and cloud with a  high of 4 C and a low of 0 C.

On Tuesday, clouds roll in with a high of 4 C and a low of -1 C.

Wednesday should be cloudy with a high of 4 C.

Kamloops's normal high and low for this time of year is 0 C and -7 C.
