PENTICTON - A chance of snow tomorrow will give way to a mix of sun and cloud in Kamloops this week.

Environment Canada meteorologist Carmen Hartt says it's a case of what you see is what you get in terms of the forecast for the remainder of the month and into February with normal to mild temperatures and “fairly quiet” weather. Hartt says temperatures in Kamloops are averaging three to five degrees above normal recently.

Expect a mix of sun and cloud today, Jan. 21 with a high of 2 Celsius and wind chills in the -10 C range.

There’s a 60 per cent chance of snow flurries overnight today and into tomorrow with a high of 3 C.

Periods of snow are forecast for tomorrow night as a stronger system moves through the region, with between two to four centimetres of snow anticipated.

The Coquihalla Highway could see as much as 10 cm.

The remainder of the week promises to be sunny with cloudy periods.

A sun and cloud mix with a 40 per cent chance of flurries is forecast for Wednesday with a high of 4 C.

The temperature will dip slightly to a high of 1 C on Thursday under increasingly cloudy skies, but on Friday the skies will clear again with a daytime high of 5 C.

A sun and cloud mix accompanied by temperatures of around 6 C are in store for Saturday and Sunday.
