Mild temperatures and showers this week in Okanagan

Above seasonal temperatures along with some clouds, showers, snow and sun are all in this week's Okanagan weather forecast.

The Okanagan can expect to see a continuation of above seasonal temperatures this week, but there is a possibility of some snow along with expected rain this week.

Environment Canada says to expect a mix of sun and cloud in Vernon and Kelowna, with today’s high reaching 6 Celsius, with a low of 0 C tonight.

Clouds are expected along with snow this evening, with 2 to 4 cm expected in Vernon and Kelowna.

Penticton should see a mix of sun and cloud, with rain beginning this evening.

The snow level is expected to drop from 900 metres to near the valley bottom tonight, with today’s high reaching 6 C and tonight’s low at 4 C.

Tuesday should see clearing skies and a high of 5 C with a  low to -3 C in Vernon and Kelowna.

Penticton should see cloudy skies with a 60 per cent chance of morning showers before clearing in the afternoon. Tuesday’s high should reach 6 C with a low of -3 C.

Periods of snow or rain are in store for Wednesday with a high of 3 C and an overnight low of -2 C under clearing conditions

Thursday should see a mix of sun and cloud with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 3 C  Clouds and a 40 per cent chance of showers is expected Thursday night, with a low reaching 2 C.

There is a 60 per cent chance of showers Friday, with a high of 6 C. A 60 per cent chance of showers or flurries continues through Friday night with a low of 0 C.

Clouds and a 60 per cent chance of showers are in the weekend forecast for Saturday with a high of 5 C and a low of -1 C, with a 60 per cent chance of showers or flurries continuing through Saturday night.

Sunday there is a 60 per cent chance of flurries with a high of 3 C.

Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton’s normal high and low for this time of year is -1 C and -7 C.
