Snow will continue to melt in the Kamloops and Okanagan over the weekend as even overnight lows will remain, mostly, above freezing in valley bottoms.

The Environment Canada forecast high of 5 Celsius to 6 C today, Jan. 13, in the Okanagan will likely make it the warmest day but daytime highs above freezing are expected through the weekend with overnight lows hovering slightly above freezing except for Sunday morning when it may drop below.

A bit cooler with the chance of flurries is the forecast for early next week but daytime highs are still forecast to be above 0 C.

Kamloops is forecast to be a degree or two warmer than the Okanagan with an overnight low of only -1 C on Sunday morning.
