Merritt RCMP are asking the public for help in locating a missing 22-year-old woman.
Jaqueline McDermott was reported missing by her family, according to an RCMP media release. She has not been heard from since Thursday, Sept. 29.
She had planned to go to a yoga retreat near but left the retreat after a short time.
Her vehicle broke down on Highway 97C between Merritt and Logan Lake and witness saw her around the vehicle.
RCMP said an extensive search was conducted on both land and from the air which included search and rescue volunteers and a police dog but to no avail.
Police describe McDermott as a 22-year-old female, 5’5” tall, 111 lb. with medium build, curly blonde hair and a fair complexion. She has a nose piercing.
