Knowing that wild morel mushrooms like to appear in areas recently affected by wildfire, Sadie Stewart, who’s in Grade 4, and her dad Rob Stewart went hunting in the White Rock Lake area near Douglas Lake.

“Her Grade 4 teacher was supportive and ended up being one of her first buyers. Kids learn so much by being out on the land, as we know not all lessons are to be taught in a classroom.”
