Husband of Manitoba judge under scrutiny for nude photos says he was stupid

WINNIPEG - The husband of a Manitoba judge under investigation for nude photos says she did not look at the pictures and was likely unaware that he had kept them.
Jack King is testifying for a second day at the Canadian Judicial Council inquiry into the conduct of his wife, Lori Douglas.
King has already admitted to taking 100-150 nude photos of Douglas before she became a judge, some of them sexually-explicit, and uploading some to the Internet.
King told the Winnipeg inquiry he stored the pictures in at least three locations, and that Douglas never looked at them or even asked him what he did with them.
The inquiry could lead to Douglas losing her job as associate chief justice of the Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench.
King also told the inquiry he uploaded graphic sexual pictures to a web site dedicated to interracial sex and invited people to join him and Douglas for sex during a trip to Mexico.
"I had a fantasy about a threesome of an interracial nature," King said Tuesday, adding that he did not get an responses to the ad.
The lawyer leading the inquiry, Guy Pratte, asked King why he didn't black out Douglas's face to prevent her from being identified.
"I didn't and I wish I had," King answered. "It's my shame and stupidity that I didn't."
King and Douglas have said all along that Douglas had no idea what her husband was doing — that King was suffering from depression.
Douglas's lawyer, Sheila Block, has asked the inquiry committee not to punish Douglas for her husband's misdeeds.
The inquiry will also examine whether Douglas disclosed the matter when she applied to be a judge in 2005.
