A Kamloops gym updated its COVID-19 policy and will now require members to pack an extra item in their gym bag.
Starting Aug. 1, all Planet Fitness members and guests will be required to wear a mask at all times while inside all open stores, according to a release.
Currently, masks are mandatory for employees, and the company is taking this precaution a step further to protect its members.
The new policy will affect all of the 2,039 Planet Fitness locations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Panama.
The Kamloops location is the only Planet Fitness in the Thompson-Okanagan. Staff were contacted and unable to provide comment.
