Masked suspects bear spray employee during robbery at downtown Penticton business

Penticton RCMP are seeking information regarding two suspects who are alleged to have robbed a downtown Penticton business yesterday evening, Jan. 30, 2020.

Penticton RCMP are seeking suspects in a downtown robbery that resulted in a store employee being bear sprayed.

The incident took place around 7:30 p.m. yesterday, Jan. 30, in the 300 block of Main Street. Police haven't released the name of the business.

Officers arrived on scene to find an employee suffering from a bear spray attack after two masked suspects entered the store, taking money from the register and other property before fleeing on foot, according to an RCMP media release.

One suspect is described as a man wearing a green hooded jacket with fur around the hood.

The second suspect is possibly a woman and was wearing all black.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
