KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are searching for two suspects after a Sahali gas station was robbed early yesterday morning.

Police say two men entered the Esso Gas Station on Columbia Street West yesterday, March 18 at 5:30 a.m.

Officers say the suspects demanded money from the cash register. One man was carrying what appeared to be a handgun and the other suspect was holding a can of pepper spray.

"The suspects left the gas station with cash from the register and headed northbound on foot," Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a media release. "The clerk was not injured."

The first suspect was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a white bandana covering his face.

The second suspect was wearing a black and tan jacket, black pants and a black bandana covering his face.

"At this time there is no evidence linking this robbery to any of the other robberies that have occurred over the past month," Shelkie says.
