An individual was arrested at the Sikh Temple in Penticton after causing disturbances.

On Jan. 22, officers were called to the Sikh Temple on Main Street in Penticton, according to a media release. On their arrival, a 23-year-old temple visitor was found to be allegedly threatening visitors while aggressively swinging two large swords.

No one was injured and the individual was arrested. He was later released to attend the Penticton Provincial Court at a subsequent date.

The investigation is ongoing as the investigators continue to gather information.
