KAMLOOPS - Police had to help a man from a roof in downtown Kamloops this afternoon.
Sgt. Karen Delorey says officers responded to a building between the 300 and 400 block of Victoria Street just before 3 p.m., Oct. 7, after receiving a complaint about a man on the roof who "appeared to require police assistance."
The man was taken into custody without issue and escorted to the ground floor. RCMP aren't saying what if any charges the man faces.
Delorey says officers originally thought they were going to block off Victoria Street, but the issue was resolved without having to do so.
She says it's not yet known why the man needed assistance in the first place, adding he did not require medical assistance.
