KELOWNA - Police are urging anyone with information involving a sexual assault suspect in the Kelowna area to come forward.

Ivan Valintine Cesnik, 57, was arrested by RCMP in Calgary last month and taken to Winnipeg to face charges related to multiple sexual assaults committed against girls as young as seven.

RCMP in Oakbank, Man. received a report near the end of January regarding a historical sexual assault involving four female complainants, three-eight-year olds and a seven-year-old, according to an RCMP news release.

An investigation was immediately launched and it was determined that Cesnik had allegedly committed the assaults at his home in Garson, in the rural municipality of Brokenhead, Man. and at a rural residence in the rural municipality of Springfield, Man. over a period of time between 2010 and 2015.

Police say Cesnik moved to Calgary around that time and no longer had contact with the alleged victims.

Cesnik is facing three charges each of sexual assault, uttering threats, sexual interference, and two charges of administering a noxious substance.

"RCMP are concerned there may be more victims in Manitoba, Alberta and the Kelowna area and encourage anyone who has information to reach out to the police," the release states.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact their local police detachment.
