KAMLOOPS - A fight between two men in the parking lot of a North Shore Esso gas station ended when one of the men was stabbed in the back early this morning.

RCMP were called to the disturbance in the 200-block of Tranquille Road just after midnight, July 30.

Const. Jason Epp of Kamloops RCMP says the two men knew each other and had been in an argument in the Esso gas station parking lot.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A detailed description was given of the suspect, who was located and arrested a short time later.

A 27-year-old man, who is known to police, is in custody and will be in court on a number of charges stemming from the stabbing, subsequent arrest and other unrelated warrants.
