A bank in Sahali was robbed this afternoon and Kamloops RCMP are looking for help to identify the suspect.
On Feb. 16 around 2:35 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery at a bank on the 1200 block of Summit Drive, but the suspect had fled on foot westbound with money in hand, according to an RCMP media release.
"A man in his 40s or 50s, approached a teller, demanded money, and brandished a handgun. Multiple officers responded, including Police Dog Services, but a suspect was not located," media relations officer Const. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.
RCMP described the suspect as a man in his 40s or 50s with fair skin, standing 5'10" and about 190 lbs. He was wearing a black toque, a three-quarter length faded but dark jacket, blue jeans, brown shoes and a navy blue COVID mask.
Kamloops RCMP is asking anyone with information to contact them at 250-828-3000 with file number 21-4063.
RCMP did not provide a photo of the suspect.
