CHILLIWACK, B.C. - Homicide investigators are probing the death of a man whose body was found in Chilliwack, B.C., on Friday morning.
Officers with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team say the body of 26-year-old Jordan Smyth was found at about 7 a.m. in an open area near Sleepy Hollow Road.
They say first responders noticed his body had "injuries consistent with foul play."
Sgt. Frank Jang says in a news release that police knew about Smyth, and they believe that he was "targeted for murder."
But he says many aspects of the investigation are "still a mystery" — including a possible motive.
Police are asking drivers who were nearby on Halloween night and may have dashcam footage to come forward.
