Lumby RCMP investigate complaint of shots fired

CHERRYVILLE - Police were called to investigate a report of shots fired in the Cherryville area last evening.

Mounties from the Lumby detachment responded to the call. When they arrived at the rural residence they found an injured person. Investigators spoke to several people at the scene and will conduct a thorough investigation to find out what led up to the alleged gunfire. 

Police did not say if the person's injuries were serious or caused by a weapon.
