Lottery ticket purchased in Shuswap is worth $1 million

Someone who bought a lottery ticket in the Shuswap for last night's 6/49 draw is a $1 million dollars richers.

The results of Wednesday's, June 8, Lotto 6/49 draw shows one guaranteed prize draw winner in the Shuswap has earned $1 million.

The B.C. Lottery Corporation has not yet announced who the lucky winner is or where exactly the ticket was purchased from.

No one earned an exact match of numbers across the country yesterday for the $5 million win.

The lottery has two prizes for each draw - the regular jackpot starting at $5 million, plus the guaranteed $1 million prize every draw.

Draws occur every Wednesday and Saturday night. Tickets are sold until 7:30 p.m.
